Ham Doha (b.1978) expresses various emotions that he believes only humans can feel, by embodying them in chairs. Although the chairs lack facial expressions, the folded, spread, crouched, and extended forms of the chair's legs evoke the way humans express their feelings through gestures. These personified chairs serve as the most intimate furniture in human’s daily life, playing a highly significant role and occasionally sharing memories and time with the user. Each emotion and life represented in Ham Doha's artwork provides us with the opportunity to observe, communicate with, and embrace the diverse subjects that surround us.

BIOGRAPHY
함도하(b.1978)는 인간만 느낄 수 있다고 생각하는 다양한 감정을 가구인 의자에 담아 표현한다. 표정은 없지만 접히고 벌리고 웅크리고 펼쳐진 의자의 다리 형태는 감정에 따라 다르게 표현되는 인간의 얼굴 표정과 몸짓을 연상시킨다. 이렇게 의인화된 의자는 일상에서 인간과 가장 밀접한 가구 중 하나로 일상에서 매우 중요한 기능을 하며, 때로는 가구의 주인과 함께한 추억과 시간을 공유한다. 각각의 감정과 삶으로 대변되는 함도하의 작품은 우리를 둘러싸고 있는 다양한 대상을 관찰하고 교감하고 포용하는 시간을 마련해준다.
