지히(b.1987)는 인간관계에서 이루어지는 다양한 소통의 형태를 팝아트 형식으로 풀어내는 작업을 한다. 작품을 주되게 구성하는 하트 모양의 입술 도상과 삼원색은 친숙하고 경쾌한 분위기를 구현한다. 이렇게 지히의 작업은 소통의 어려움에서 출발하고 있지만, 결과적으로는 유쾌한 분위기를 전하며 일상에서 오고 가는 대화 속의 긍정적인 교감을 환기한다. 개인주의가 대두되고 비대면의 시대가 익숙해진 최근 우리에게 지히의 작업은 소통의 중요성과 가치를 일깨우며, 동시에 소통의 장으로서 기능하는 시각 예술의 기능을 보여준다.

Jihi (b. 1987) explores various forms of communication in human relationships through the lens of pop art.
